The Support of Friends Old and New

This week I received an email from an old friend, Angela Chatten. The term "old" describes how far we go back, and how long it has been since we have seen each other. Our children were in school together in preschool and Kindergarten at Frisco Montessori Academy (FMA). Angela was the President of the FMA PTA while I served as Vice President.

Angela took time out of her very busy schedule to send this email to an untold number of people, recommending to them to vote for me for Frisco School Board. An excerpt of her email appears below:

"If you are planning on voting for the School Board positions, please consider Janet Maccubbin. I worked alongside Janet when her children were attending Frisco Montessori. She was my VP when I was President of the Parents Organization. She’s incredibly smart, practical and organized. She has been working with the City Manager’s office (Frisco) for a number of years and has been very involved in a multiple of Frisco entities/activities. She’s very devoted to her girls who are similar in age to mine and have attended Frisco schools for 5+ years.

Consider voting for Janet Maccubbin!"

This is the most powerful message that can be sent during a campaign -- the testimony of people with whom I have worked in the past have seen my commitment and my skills and believe that I can use them to make a real difference in our community. Thank you to all of you who have taken the time to send similar messages to your friends and neighbors.
