Yesterday my campaign team was at the Community Day at Grayhawk. While we did not win the trip to Hawaii, we met some terrific people and got the chance to talk about school issues that are important to so many in the Grayhawk community. We even got to see our good friends Brad and Kristi!

Overcrowding in Griffin Middle School was top of mind for many of our new friends there. They are very excited about Stafford, the new middle school opening in the fall. Some of the other challenges that we heard about were children with advanced learning requirements that could be enhanced with a more comprehensive Gifted and Talented offering to students whose ability to learn is highly accelerated.

Another parent expressed concern about fat content in our school menus and the choices that children have in our lunch offerings.

It was great to be out in the Grayhawk community and see so many parents who care so deeply about Frisco and the state of our schools.
