Endorsement from Bob Allen

As early voting is now underway, I hope that you will indulge me for just a moment as I introduce you to an individual that I believe can have an immediate and lasting impact on our community. Janet Maccubbin is a results-oriented leader with critical business and government experience that makes her the most qualified candidate for the Frisco ISD School Board, Place 4.

In Janet's professional career, she has extensive expertise in setting strategy, writing policy, and enacting programs that achieve real change. Janet has been elected to leadership positions on several City of Frisco and City Council boards, she has served on the Board of Directors of numerous non-profit organizations, and she has been actively involved in the community as a FFL cheer coach, a preschool Sunday School Teacher, and as a team leader coordinating the efforts of 30 volunteers each week. It is
through each of these leadership positions that Janet has demonstrated the ability to work alongside other board members in producing real results that have changed our community for the better.

During the first half of Janet's career, she authored US Federal policies, serving as a subject matter expert for US Federal Court cases and inventing new programs to be implemented throughout the United States. During this period, Janet defined the vision for multi-million dollar programs and created strategic plans that identified goals and measures of success. These experiences and achievements will enable Janet to make an immediate impact on the FISD Board.

Most recently Janet was engaged as the Chair of the Frisco Housing Authority, transforming the operation of this Federally-controlled local government entity by, leading the resolution of 25 outstanding Federal audit findings ranging from lack of financial compliance to reporting deficiencies. It is through her efforts that the Frisco Housing Authority is now recognized by the US Government as an example of a well-run, fully-compliant operation. Janet serves as the coordinator of the Frisco Workforce Housing Committee, facilitating a diverse group of 20+ real estate developers and community leaders through the planning process to the creation of the City of Frisco Workforce Housing Trust Fund. As a direct result of her efforts, the fund now provides homeownership assistance to families of modest means who currently work in the City of Frisco and want to own a home in Frisco, preventing important tax revenues from going to neighboring cities and reducing commuting congestion. Janet also serves as Frisco's Downtown Coordinator, working with Downtown property owners to develop a tax incentive program that will reward both new and existing homeowners who invest private resources in preserving and protecting historically significant homes in Downtown Frisco.

In my opinion, the key difference that makes Janet the best candidate is her personal experience in setting vision and strategy, and turning those strategies into sustainable programs. In every aspect of her life, from her wonderful family, to her deep and constant faith, to her ability to truly make an incredible difference in our community, Janet is worthy of your support.

There is so much more to Janet than I can share with you here. I encourage you to visit her website at www.votejanet.org to learn more.
